Update from Stray Cats Sanctuary: Saying Goodbye to Katu and Addressing Urgent Needs

Yasemin has experienced another heartbreaking loss: Katu passed away last night. When Yasemin took him in, he was already ill. While she could no longer provide a cure, she was able to offer him what mattered most: warmth, safety, gentle care, and love. His final weeks were protected; he no longer had to endure the cold or go hungry. Even when only geriatric care is possible, these cats are important to us because we never want any living being to be left alone to die on the streets.

At the same time, the situation in the mountains is extremely challenging right now. The water pipes have frozen, and even the village water reservoir is affected. For someone like Yasemin, for whom hygiene is vital, this has become a daily struggle.

Due to Katu's situation, Yasemin was unable to go into the city yesterday and couldn't pick up deliveries and supplies today. She urgently needs to make a trip tomorrow to a location that is open on Sundays because the local vet in Dalamam is closed then.

She urgently needs the following items:
- A bag of food for the sanctuary
- Pee pads
- Wet food
- A prescription for Marley (UTI / urinary tract infection)
- Gastrointestinal prescription food, which has already run out

Despite heavy rain being forecasted, Yasemin must make this trip, as the conditions are already difficult.

Please help us ensure Yasemin is not alone during this challenging time so that the animals can continue to receive the care they need.

Thank you for being a precious paw patron. 🙏💜
