A green roof for our Green Classroom

Our ‘Green Classroom’ was built and inaugurated in 2019 by the Friends of the Forest Education Centre. Since then, the functional round building made of solid wood has been used by the groups of children and adults who visit us for our forest education events as a recreation and event room. Whether it's raining or the sun is shining, this space is ideal for organising forest education projects in a visually appealing setting, regardless of the weather. Unfortunately, the funds available to us in 2019 were no longer sufficient for the ecologically and climatically important green roof. That is why we are still missing this important last piece of the puzzle to complete the ‘Green Classroom’ project.  
The work on the green roof is being planned for the calendar year 2025 by the staff of the Forest Education Centre in collaboration with our affiliated Friends' Association. The donations received are needed to finance the planning and realisation of the green roof by a specialist gardening and landscaping company as well as the purchase of suitable plants.
