Junghof Kappel in Freiburg is a lifeline for young people in need and old horses alike. Since 2018, we have been a non-profit organisation offering a safe haven for young people who urgently need support and guidance, as well as for horses that would otherwise have nowhere to go.

To open up new perspectives for young people through care and animal-assisted therapy
To give old horses a dignified second life as therapeutic companions
Creating a place of healing, learning and intergenerational encounters
The need is great: more and more young people are struggling with mental health problems. At the same time, many old horses are simply disposed of. The Junghof offers both a second chance.
