About this project

Hani Harb from Deutsch-Syrische Forschungsgesellschaft e.V. is responsible for this project
The Nahed Scholarship Fund aims to address the significant problem of financial barriers that prevent underprivileged students from crisis affected countries from accessing foreign language proficiency exams, which are crucial for their academic and professional growth. This project is dedicated to preserving the legacy of Nahed Abdul Jalil, a passionate leader in the educational field, by empowering students to achieve their educational dreams. Our goal is to help underprivileged students in crisis-affected areas, who lack the financial means to take essential exams like TOEFL and IELTS. To achieve this, we will collaborate with local educational centers and organizations to identify eligible students, provide financial support for exam fees, and offer ongoing mentorship to guide them through their preparation. Additionally, we will regularly track the progress of scholarship recipients through assessments to ensure they are on track to meet their goals. The scholarship will be awarded on a rolling basis, with assessments and fund distributions taking place quarterly to maintain continuous support. Donations, totaling $2,500, will be allocated to cover exam fees, mentorship, and partnerships with educational centers. This project not only promotes academic excellence and language proficiency but also fosters international collaboration and integration for students. By contributing to this scholarship, donors will make a lasting impact, helping to transform lives and create a brighter future for all.
