Numerous refugees have arrived in the Heinsberg district this year. They have fled from war, terror, or other unbearable circumstances in their home countries. The Heinsberg district has welcomed them with open arms, providing them with a safe place to live and the opportunity to find peace.
Thousands of residents in the Heinsberg district have participated in emergency aid by donating clothing or volunteering their time. The first step has been taken, and for that, we extend our heartfelt thanks!
Now, it is important not to lose momentum. Many people are still fleeing and will arrive here in the coming weeks and months. They, too, have the right to be treated with dignity. Those who are already here wish to integrate, learn German, and become a part of our society. We support them in this process.
With the recognition of their asylum status, refugees gain a new perspective. However, integration is only just beginning. It is highly beneficial if they have someone by their side who can help them navigate life in Germany.
As Refugees Welcome Organization gUG, we are passionately committed to social justice and intercultural communication. With our experience in working with people from diverse cultures and backgrounds, we understand the unique challenges and needs of refugees and respond to them accordingly. Our goal is to build bridges between refugees and the local community, fostering understanding, respect, and successful integration.
Through our personal commitment, empathy, and intercultural education efforts, we strive to improve the quality of life for refugees while highlighting the enrichment that diversity brings to society. Our approach is based on respect, patience, and a firm belief in the power of community and dialogue. We are convinced that through joint efforts, an inclusive and diverse society can be created, where everyone has the opportunity to realize their full potential.
Refugee families need our support! The volunteers at Refugees Welcome Organization gUG stand by their side, helping them navigate everyday life in their new home and ensuring successful integration.
