    About this project

Nicole Zeller from FritZel's Spielerei e.V. is responsible for this project
We are traveling to Essen with five people with multiple disabilities to the international games fair. These five people were the developers of the family game "Jahu Safari", which is particularly suitable for people with disabilities, in the "Spielemacher inklusiv" project in 2023. In this project, the participants were not only able to gain self-confidence, become more courageous and be creative. They also learned how to analyze games and apply the knowledge they gained. They learned about the production chain of games, how to develop and formulate rules, how to create a prototype, and how to test and revise games.

It is their heart's wish to present their game to the public at the games fair, to play it with visitors and to explain it there themselves. This visit also enables them to get to meet other authors, meet Youtubers and bloggers and get their own impression of life at the fair. None of these people have ever visited a trade fair before. This is a great opportunity to show many people what a great game our authors have created, how creative they were and what people with disabilities can achieve.

This trade fair visit in turn has an educational benefit. The authors learn how to design a trade fair stand, present a game and communicate rules to other people. They learn to present their project and describe the development of the game. They learn to change positions and are "the doers" and "the active ones".

The arrival is scheduled for Wednesday. There are plans for people with disabilities to staff the stand on Thursday and Friday. On Saturday, the game designers will be able to visit the city of Essen. The return trip will take place on Sunday.

This project is inclusion and participation in action and is a great experience for our game designers. The group is already very much looking forward to the planned visit to the trade fair and would ask for your support for this project.
