About this project

In August 2014, about 180 scouts from over 10 nations joined under the name of the project "ScoutingTrain" to travel the transsiberian railway from Berlin through Warsaw, Minsk, Moscow and Irkutsk to finally arrive at a camp on lake Baikal.
25 years after the fall of the iron curtain and in the middle of a European crisis, we thus promoted the idea of peace and international understanding, created close cross-border friendships and could establish a network of young, voluntary leaders, that spans over thousands of kilometers throughout Europe and Asia.
And right now, we need your help to rally all these people again, let them tell their stories and work together on new, international projects!
Donate, to support us in contributing to a peaceful Europe, that is dominated by mutual understanding. Make it possible, that we can share our unique experiences with a wide range of people!
That's why we want to meet up with these people and everyone that helped us - in total more than 200 scouts - from 5th to 10th November in Berlin. We want to celebrate and present our successful project, the "ScoutingTrain", foster newly formed friendships and help creating new multilateral projects and cooperations. And - of course - give a chance to experience all the different cultures that are part of this unique project.
Our participants are from a wide variety of countries: Germany, Poland, Lithuania, Switzerland, Belarus, Russia, Hungary, Austria, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, and many more...
