The Monstrale Festival from is the only international short film festival with three competition formats in Saxony-Anhalt. It offers filmmakers on an international level both a place and an opportunity to interact with the audience, to open up cinematic discourses together and to enter into conversation.
In addition to the programmatic heart and nucleus of the Monstrale, the International Competition and the competition for documentary short films (Shortdocs), the "Wild Worlds" as our children's festival with a competition and a program section are an important link to the little moviegoers. The festival organizes activities for schools in advance, such as electing a children's jury or teaching children about animated film.

Most of the organizational work for the children's festival is done on a voluntary basis, but there are not enough funds to cover the rent for the cinema. We therefore need support to be able to organize the Monstrale children's festival.
