Help us, to build an animal shelter

The project to establish a new animal shelter in Northern Greece, specifically in the region of Thessaloniki, Chalkidiki till Serres arose from the urgent need to improve the catastrophic state of stray animals. In this region, it is estimated that tens of thousands of animals live on the streets without access to shelter, food, or medical care. State-run animal shelters are virtually nonexistent, and the few private facilities that do exist can hardly meet the demand due to their limited capacity of usually only 50 animals.

Another serious problem is the lack of spaying and neutering programs. This results in 95 percent of newborn cats and many dogs dying in miserable conditions within their first year of life. Dogs and cats die because they are run over or suffer from hunger and other diseases. In light of this shocking reality, we decided to build an animal shelter with an attached veterinary clinic to sustainably control overpopulation through mass spaying and neutering of cats and dogs and significantly reduce the suffering of animals.
