About this project

Franz Zobel from re:solut e. V. is responsible for this project
Dear supporters,

after migrant security staff at the initial reception center for refugees in Suhl (Thuringia) filed a complaint against hours of racist chanting by their colleagues, they are experiencing massive pressure and are being threatened. They fear for their jobs. The racist perpetrators in turn reported the victims, so that legal fees are now being incurred.

What happened?

In the night from Friday to Saturday (24/25.05.24), several employees of the security company caused a racist scandal at the Suhl initial reception center for asylum seekers, a place where people seek protection: For hours, several white security guards loudly bawled out the racist version of the party hit “L'amour toujours” that had recently become known through the Sylt video. They are employees who are responsible for the security of refugees seeking protection.

After a while, their migrant colleagues on duty can no longer stand it. They break off their shift and call the police and file charges of “insult on a political basis” against the colleagues who sang the racist song.  A short time later, the migrant security staff learn that the accused have filed a counter complaint. They press charges because they say that the victims filmed the racist act without permission.

After their protest against racism, instead of solidarity, some of their colleagues are distancing themselves, threatening them and exerting massive pressure. The courageous security staff now urgently need legal support. The costs incurred for legal assistance represent an enormous financial burden for them. They need your help!

Your donation helps!

Every contribution, whether large or small, goes to those affected in order to finance the necessary legal steps as well as other costs incurred. All money that is not needed for the specific support of those affected will go to the victom support fund for victims of right-wing, racist and anti-Semitic violence in Thuringia, from which those affected receive quick and uncomplicated financial help through the specialist violence victim counseling centre ezra.

Share the appeal!

Help us to spread this appeal so that we can reach as many people as possible who would like to support those affected. Let's work together to ensure that those affected by such experiences do not have to remain alone. Your support is a strong sign of solidarity and against all racism and discrimination.

Because people in Thuringia are repeatedly affected by right-wing violence, we are also collecting money for the Thuringian victom support fund of right-wing, racist and anti-Semitic violence. This helps quickly and directly.
