Closed Return orphans and girl mothers to school

In Sanda Taindaren Chiefdom, school enrollment is high but a lot of children drop out of school very early mainly due to the inability of parents to meet school needs and at the same time meet basic family welfare need. Girls, as young as 14, can become pregnant and drop out. These children end up helping on the farms, become single parents, prostitutes or engage in other anti-social behaviours. For them the future is bleak. This project aims to return to school a total of 150 less privileged children and drop-outs, and support their parents/guardians in agriculture and other livelihood activities.
The project will provide school charges, uniforms and learning materials to 150 pupils. The Project will train and provide support to 150 Parents/guardians in crops growing and animal rearing and other income generating skills such as soap making and gara-tie dyeing to generate income and sustain their families. Provide Start-up kits to parents after the training.
