A great historical house that connects people with themselves and others

Dominikaner Provinz Teutonia e.V.
A project from Dominikaner Provinz Teutonia e.V. in Leipzig, Germany
As the house is being sold, we want to acquire it and transfer it to a foundation that will turn the building into a lively place of culture and encounters, but also of spirituality and meditation. People should find themselves and each other there.

About this project

Lucas Leonhard Wieshuber from Dominikaner Provinz Teutonia e.V. is responsible for this project
In a time when loneliness, insecurity and the pressures of everyday life are becoming ever more pressing, more and more people are seeking a place that offers them support and orientation.

In my many years of work as the person responsible for churches, religious and ideological communities for a total of four Federal Presidents, as well as a priest and nurse, I have experienced how important it is to create spaces in which people can come together, support each other and be at peace with each other.

The “Villa Goldene Höhe” – a historical stroke of luck

The “Villa Goldene Höhe” is a cultural and historical landmark and is listed in the list of Leipzig cultural monuments. Formerly a Masonic lodge, the building served as a parish and community center for the Catholic parish of St. Georg in Gohlis from 1934. In this function, it was and is a “free space”, a place of encounter and exchange, which was of great importance especially in times of political oppression – whether during National Socialism or the SED regime of injustice. The space offered protection and the opportunity for cultural and spiritual development. Today, the house remains a vibrant place that brings together people from all social and cultural backgrounds. Now the building is facing a new challenge: it is to be sold.

Our vision: a center for spirituality, culture, encounter, exchange and peace

We would like to acquire the “Villa Goldene Höhe” and continue its history. Our goal is to make this unique building a vibrant center for spirituality, culture and encounters that meets the challenges of our time. It should become a place of mindfulness, dialogue and understanding - a space where people can find themselves and each other, a place for meditation, culture, education and social integration.

Your support for a future of hope

With your donation, you can enable a decisive step: the acquisition of this valuable house. Your support forms the basis for the establishment of a foundation that will lead the “Villa Goldene Höhe” into the future as an independent place for culture, spirituality and encounters. Help us to preserve this precious place and to continue its history. Your donation contributes to the “Villa Goldene Höhe” remaining a place of meditation, of encounters, of solidarity and of hope in the future, too – for all those who long for a place of peace, of mindfulness and of dialog.

Make a difference – for today and tomorrow

Every donation, no matter how small, is a valuable contribution that helps to preserve this place for future generations and to create the basis for a foundation that will carry the legacy of the “Villa Goldene Höhe” into the future. Together we can maintain this unique place and turn it into a vibrant center for community and peace.
