About this project

In addition to chamber music and organ concerts, the large tower glockenspiel, a carillon with 49 bronze bells, is also in the centre of musical work.
In cooperation with the Beiaardschool Mechelen and its lecturer Jan Verheyen, we are now building a small carillon school in Hahnenklee, a place for workshops and musical exchange. The carillon in the Stabkirche is particularly suitable as a training tool, because lessons can take place there for several hours a day. We also have a practice table in the parish centre and our former rectory now serves as a guest house, which can currently offer accommodation for up to 6 students.
Our plan is to set up a second exercise table in the guest house, to purchase sheet music and to equip the house with everything a carillon school needs. Since the practice tables are always customised, the costs are correspondingly high. That's why we ask for support for this heart project. Our vision is that our carillon school will develop into a training and meeting place for the carillon culture in Germany in order to carry on this fascinating musical tradition.
