The STIMMT! campaign, initiated by the Forum Veranstaltungswirtschaft and supported by the Bundesstiftung LiveKultur, is committed to democratic values and a diverse and pluralistic society. The campaign is aimed at everyone - whether companies, influencers or private individuals - who share these values and want to set an example. The aim is to preserve and strengthen a defensive democracy.
In the current debate, the freedom of culture - and the freedom of our cultural spaces - is always linked to the cultural-social characteristics of our musical spaces. This is because this is where democratic negotiation processes take place through the shared “experience” of culture. Culture is therefore always political - and free culture is the freedom of negotiation spaces.
It is more important than ever to raise your voice and stand up for democratic values - whether privately, professionally or, of course, at the ballot box. Every vote counts! The STIMMT! campaign provides information, texts and motifs to download and share in order to bring people together who want to become active.
Together, we defend democracy on the streets, online and wherever necessary. We must never stop standing up for it, because silence is more dangerous today than ever. Together we are strong, loud and numerous.
Events have always been places of democracy. Events are communal spaces where people come together, exchange knowledge, negotiate, discuss, have fun and promote togetherness and an understanding of democracy. Safeguarding these important cultural spaces and areas is part of our foundation's purpose. We want to set an example as a counterweight to the shift to the right and misanthropy. Preferably together with you!
