    About this project

Claudia Zayer from Apporte Assistenzhunde für Menschen im Rollstuhl is responsible for this project
Help Magnus get his service dog!

Bright, full of energy, hungry for knowledge and full of life! This is how Magnus' parents would describe their 6-year-old son.

The young family lives in Hamburg and Magnus has been dependent on a wheelchair since he was born.

With the loving support of his parents, Magnus masters the small daily challenges in everyday life with flying colors.

In order to be able to live an as independent and self-determined life as possible in the future, he will need a loyal companion and supporter - an assistance dog that not only gives him security, but also promotes his independence and self-esteem. An assistance dog sustainably improves the quality of life by providing not only physical but also emotional support to its human partner.

An assistance dog is much more than just a pet. He is a partner who will promote Magnus' social development and support his integration into society. After careful selection and suitability checks, these dogs undergo 12 months of training to assist people in wheelchairs in everyday life and thus enable a lot more independence and self-determination.

The association “Apporte – Assistance Dogs for People in Wheelchairs e.V.” from Northern Germany supports Magnus and his family in their search for the perfect companion. This organization is passionate about helping people with special needs and provides and finances assistance dogs that make a lasting difference in the lives of these people.

The cost of a fully trained assistance dog is around €25,000.

We, Jana from Hamburg, Claudia from Munich and a road trip-tested Australian Shepperd Mix (Mia), are driving a charity rally to the North Cape for Magnus: https://superlative-adventure.com/baltic-sea-circle.html

The facts: 7,500km | 9 countries | 16 days | no navigation system or highways.

We are driving a 24-year-old T4 that will probably exceed half a million kilometers on the route. Our ultimate goal is to finance the training of Magnus's future assistance dog and we will try to convert every kilometer into donations.

As a team, we choose this project because we are convinced that inclusion works best when people, and especially children, grow up as independently and self-determined as possible and are allowed to be part of society.

Every euro you give for Magnus goes 100% to his benefit and takes him and us a little further in the right direction!

We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your generosity and support. Together we can help Magnus get his loyal companion and give him a little more independence and joy in life.

Your commitment counts and makes Magnus' dream of an assistance dog come true!

    With kind regards
