"MutARE Tales - Zimbabwe's Creative Future: Support Young Artists!"

 
"MutARE Tales" is an innovative art project that provides a platform for emerging artists in Zimbabwe, with a focus on Mutare and Manicaland. It promotes various genres, including visual and performing arts, poetry, music, and dance, by offering emerging artists, particularly women, space to develop their careers through exposure, mentoring, training programs, and a network of artists and individuals in the arts scene. This approach is invaluable as it helps young artists to develop their artistic talents and explore opportunities to make a living from their art. Creating a supportive network in the arts scene is crucial for establishing a sustainable foundation for artists.

The mentoring program offers artists a three-day workshop once a year, focusing on specific aspects such as stage presence, fundraising, and business aspects of building a career. Experienced mentors share their knowledge during these workshops. Through several preceding events, young artists are selected for this weekend. The donations raised here are intended to financially support the 2024 workshop.
