About this project
Khai-Thai from hamromaya Nepal e.V. is responsible for this project
Together with our local partner "Nepali Host Family", we organise "Medical Camps" in Nepal to provide free medical care to people who are not able to afford them and/or to people who do not have easy access to them.
Our Medical Camps offer free primary health care in the form of free general check-ups, medical treatment, medicine and support for further examinations.
Our goal is to improve the medical infrastructure outside of the Nepalese capital Kathmandu. We want to fight diseases early before they reach a critical state or prevent them from outbreaking at all.
In general, our "Medical Camps" are accompanied by Nepases doctors and medical assistants. Local youth orgasanitions help us with the implementation.
Our first "Medical Camps" will be organised in late summer 2013.
At the beginning, we will stay nearby of Kathmandu to keep down the costs of transportation.
Our "Medical Camps" will be one-day projects where we hope that we will be able to treat at least 100 patients.
Since we attach importance to sustainability and continuity, we will try to organise our "Medical Camps" half-annually.
