The conflict in Israel is driving refugees to Jordan. More than 60% of the population comes from abroad. Since 2008, we have built seven hydrophonic systems in the country and provide around 700 families with fresh vegetables every week.

The conflict in Israel is currently driving even more refugees to Jordan, so that over 60% of the population now comes from abroad.
Operation Mercy, our local partner, has built seven hydrophonic systems in the country since 2008 and works with local farmers to produce enough food using hydrophonics that our local volunteers can produce a sufficient number of 10kg packages of fresh food every week The vegetables produced can be distributed to around 700 families. These 10kg packages are worth around €20 and provide a family with high quality food for one week.
