A heartfelt wish comes true - the story of Dibika and Bunusha

Our former students Dibika and Bunusha have made this an integral part of their life since they successfully completed the first Akasha Traineeship cohort in 2020:

"Doing physical training is still uncommon for Nepalese women. During the Traineeship, we discovered how our self-confidence, strength and health increased, allowing us to help others to make the same experience.”

The Akasha Traineeship is a unique education and vocational program for young women in Nepal supporting them to make their own decisions in life.

Apart from language, computer, environment and health classes, bodywork such as acrobatics and self-defense are part of the curriculum.

Bunusha and Dibika found their passion for working out and supporting other young women in doing physical exercises.

To support this positive development beyond their graduation, we initiated the Freedom of Choice Education Fund.

Thanks to generous contributions, individual scholarships could be provided to them fast and flexible, so that both could become fitness trainers and community mobilizers helping many women to become strong and empowered, too.

A heartfelt wish came true!

Now, they train the next Akasha Traineeship students in physical classes and conduct health awareness sessions for women in the communities.

With their strength, enthusiasm and good heart, they turned into inspiring role models for other women in their surroundings.

We wish that more women can pursue their dreams and unfold their individual skills for a larger purpose! You too? A regular donation to the “Freedom of Choice” Fund turns an aspiration into reality!
