MUT: We give a future to refugee children in Munich!

Do you remember the arrival of the Ukrainian refugees at German train stations in the spring of 2022? Almost all have stayed here. The biggest hurdle for them is the German language. Even in Munich: The students in the photos are among the 2000 Ukrainian refugee children who go to school in Munich. They want to obtain a school diploma here in Germany, but for many, this seems unreachable due to the language barrier. And integration also fails: 90% of the MUT children report having no German friends. Schools cannot master this challenge alone due to the shortage of teachers.

INTEGRATION THROUGH LANGUAGE EDUCATION
When we observed the language problems of the Ukrainian school children in a Munich school in the spring of 2023, we found: We can do something about this!

INITIATIVE WITH STARTUP SPIRIT: WE GIVE OVER 180 CHILDREN COURAGE
Within a few weeks, we laid the foundation for a tutoring program designed for hundreds of children. Thanks to dedicated tutors and generous donations, we have achieved a lot since May 2023:
Increased the number of participating students from 15 to 180 per week
Raised the number of tutors from 5 to 27
Increased the number of schools from 1 to 17

With about 500 €, we can support a child until the end of the school year 2023/24. Our next milestone: +30,000 € by Christmas, to support 60 additional children from January, who are already on our waiting list.

With 20€, we can support 1 child for a week. 80€: 1 child for 1 month. 240€: 1 child, 1 quarter. Round amounts are also possible (50€ / 100€ / 200€)
