Singing in a choir brings endless joy and brings different people together. Singing in a choir keeps you fit and healthy and singing in a choir enables cultural and social participation for people from a wide range of backgrounds, of all ages and with and without disabilities. Our small choir sees itself as a community for people who have a good voice - religion, origin, handicap, sexual orientation... or the status of their bank account play no role. Our choir makes the rich cultural heritage of our city of Halle, Saxony-Anhalt, Germany and sometimes beyond so tangible for the singers and our audience. Choir singing simply makes you happy - on and in front of the stage!
We are organized as an association and are largely financed by membership fees, performance collections, donations or project funds - but we are dependent on the help of you and yours. A choir like this doesn't come for free and incurs a lot of costs, e.g. for rehearsal and performance opportunities, for sheet music, for our technical infrastructure, for fees for conductors, accompanists, voice training, guest musicians, advertising materials for our performances, for Rehearsal weekends in and outside of Halle, to cover the costs for needy singers and much more.
