Cover ongoing costs of the workshop

FabLab Bruchsal e.V.
A project from FabLab Bruchsal e.V. in Ubstadt-Weiher, Germany
We are a public workshop (sometimes called MakerSpace) that wants to promote the exchange of knowledge and access to modern manufacturing processes. With this project we would like to improve our running costs (rent, electricity).

About this project

Roland Lückl from FabLab Bruchsal e.V. is responsible for this project
As FabLab Bruchsal, we offer a large workshop with many different devices for the general public. From very small ones, such as a soldering station or 3D printer, to very large ones such as our laser cutter or table saw. Such devices are often not accessible to many people, they are not worth purchasing or there is simply no space to put the devices anywhere. Our members (and to a certain extent non-members) can use these devices to realize their projects and ideas.

In addition to the workshop, we also want to promote the exchange of knowledge. If someone has an idea for a project but doesn't know exactly how to implement it, we are happy to help. Regular appointments help to give everyone the opportunity to stop by the FabLab.

What is a FabLab anyway? Excerpt from Wikipedia: "A FabLab (fabrication laboratory), sometimes also called MakerSpace, is an open workshop with the aim of giving private individuals and individual tradespeople access to modern manufacturing processes for individual pieces."

The FabLab Bruchsal is currently still a relatively small club with a few members. With this project we mainly want to cover our running costs such as rent and electricity costs. If we can increase the reach and awareness of the FabLab through this project and thereby gain more (supporting) members, we would of course be very happy.
