Support for Internal Refugees in Ukraine

Although more than one and a half years have passed, the devastating war in Ukraine continues unabated. Even though the number of refugees from Ukraine has currently decreased, the situation on the ground remains extremely precarious for the population. liftUKRAINE tirelessly works to provide people in the frontlines with essential supplies such as food, medication, and first-aid materials.

Additionally, liftUKRAINE has been a partner of the Ternopil Foundation for over a year, which operates a refuge for internally displaced persons in Western Ukraine. Here, families in need, often women with children, find a safe and warm haven to momentarily escape the horrors of war. As part of this project, around 1,500 internal refugees have received support so far.

This shelter offers protection, support, and care. Especially in the upcoming winter months, it serves as the only salvation from war and cold for many families, as it is expected that heating systems in many areas will not function. To meet the needs of internal refugees in Ternopil, numerous materials for provisions, medical care, and support for children (educational materials and toys) are necessary. We appeal to your generosity to support families in need during the coming winter months.

To support internal refugees in Ukraine, urgent financial support is needed to cover the costs of electricity, water, and heating for the refugee hostel in Ternopil, as well as for heaters and medical aid.
