About this project
For some time now our locomobiles have been at a standstill for some time, because the steam boilers are in need of repair. The fireboxes are very badly corroded and so operation is no longer possible. So that at some point safe operation is possible again at some point, the engines must be completely dismantled and the boilers and fireboxes repaired in accordance be repaired. This means that the riveted construction from 1909 must be preserved or rebuilt. A difficult task task, because there are only a few repair companies in Europe who still master this technique. We receive financial support for this from the owner of the machines, the district of Esslingen, and also from the from the State Monuments Office.
Because these restorations huge feats of strength for us, we urgently need steam-enthusiastic helpers. We are therefore looking for new club members who are willing to to carry out this work with us from 2025. We also need continue to need financial support. We therefore ask you for your help. We would be delighted if you would get in touch to help us work with us or support our work with a donation, or both.
We are endeavouring to preserve the legacy of Max Eyth's legacy, steam technology, in Kirchheim in an operational and
and thus pass on steam ploughing and steam rolling to future generations to come.
Thank you very much for your support.
