Hereby and today, we present to you the project "The Mother Village."
Our goal is to draw your attention to this non-profit pilot project. "The Mother Village" pursues a high social and economic ambition. The cycle of dependence on the social system across generations should be broken, and young people should be provided with social, educational, and career perspectives.
"Das Mutterdorf" is aimed at pregnant young girls and women in need. Without education and family support, more and more women are unable to care for themselves and their children. A fate of social welfare is predetermined for both mother and child. We want to break this cycle.
" Das Mutterdorf " is intended to become a home for very young mothers. Within walking distance, we offer vocational and commercial training, such as in businesses like confectionery, hairdressing, physiotherapy, and more. The training is tailored to motherhood.
From pregnancy until the completion of their education, young women with children can live and learn with the same caregivers.
We believe that attachment, education, and vocational training are the keys to independence and a self-determined life. It is also crucial for the children to have positive role models in their mothers and fathers.
It is of paramount importance to prepare women for childbirth during pregnancy. Facilities such as Montessori childcare, therapy, and support staff are provided.
"Das Mutterdorf " is an ambitious European project with a pioneering character. It goes far beyond empowering women and offers them opportunities for a self-determined life with their children, who experience resilience and proximity to education.
We are dedicating all our efforts to this project because we are convinced that it can serve as a model not only regionally but also throughout Europe.
