In struggle for living

Another month has passed since I last wrote about our news.

I just don't know what's actually happening this summer. Problems upon problems...
At the end of May, I noticed that old enclosures built in 2018 were almost all slowly falling apart. I've already written about it. Unfortunately, we still don't have enough money for the repairs. but we are trying to make the best of what we have. We managed to buy some wood. This helped to make 4 of the 12 old enclosures stronger. But eight still need urgent repairs. The Rabitzdaraht mesh is torn and some dogs are just running around in the nursery and outside the factory, which can be dangerous for them. I hope that we will manage to repair some of the enclosures by November, because it is already winter here in November and there is not much work to be done.

I had to repair my car four times in June: Starter, plugs, gas appliances and finally the head of the engine. In the next few days I have to come back to the garage to adjust the flaps. But this is no longer a major repair, more like rework after the repairs to the engine. But twice I had to leave the car in the workshop for a few days. But the animals need food every day and I had to borrow a car. It was all costly, both financially and emotionally.

And in July it started to rain. It rained non-stop. We were all wet, puddles everywhere. There's also flooding in the city... Unfortunately, according to the weather forecast, it will still rain a lot in August.

And in some of the houses where dogs live, water is coming from the roof.

And now problems with supplies have arisen. I have found four places for the summer where I can get leftovers. And there was enough for all the animals. But in August, an employee at one place took piglets and is now taking all the leftovers for herself. And there are fewer children in the children's sanatorium in August than in June and July, so there are far fewer leftovers after they have eaten. This means that I have to buy something extra every day in August. Otherwise some of the animals (around 30 dogs) will go hungry. I have ordered 400 kilos of beef for today. That's enough for us for about 10 days. But then I have to keep buying meat products. Also for the cats. And that worries me a lot, because it can become a lot. I need about 10 euros a day for 30 dogs. And at the weekend, when there are no leftovers, I need about 25 euros. Over the whole month it will be a considerable sum...

So I have shared my fears and worries with you. I thank everyone from the bottom of my heart for helping us to keep on living and hope that you will continue to stay with us.
