Storm damage: A new tent for our inclusive circus work is needed

We at ZirkuTopia e.V. make inclusion a tangible experience, because in our educational circus work with children and young people we create a non-discriminatory space of encounter that all participants can experience and help to shape on an equal footing.
 
Since 2007, the heart of our work has been our own 2-mast circus tent, in which our circus training sessions and the children's and young people's galas take place. The training in the circus tent conveys a special atmosphere, which invites to try out and outgrow oneself.
On the gala weekends, about 800 spectators take their seats on the large grandstand in the tent and watch the performances of the children and young people in the circus ring with rapt attention and applause.

In the course of a big storm in June 2023, our tent became a total loss due to heavy hail - an unbelievable loss for the children and young people of our circus. The purchase costs for a new tent are immense and cannot be afforded by our association. However, a tent is a basic requirement for our educational circus work with the children and young people.

With a total sum calculated by the manufacturer for a new circus tent of 90,000 euros, we need about 50,000 euros for the down payment in the course of the order until the end of the year. Some sponsors have already announced their financial support in our predicament. In order to get the necessary money for the down payment by the end of the year, we are trying to acquire the missing money via betterplace.org. Therefore, we are now collecting donations to be able to fulfill the dream of a new tent for our association.
