Female genital cutting, or mutilation, is a harmful practice, rooted in gender inequality, that can bring devastating health consequences. In the Somali community which has the highest prevalence of FGM/C Orchid Project brought together activists and organisations working to end the practice through Knowledge Sharing Workshops (KSW). The workshops have taken place in Addis Abeba and six new activists have been trained to support grass root organisations in the Somali region.
