Insect-friendly path lighting

Purchase of insect-friendly path lighting for the publicly accessible main paths in the allotment garden.
As a publicly accessible local recreation area, we need lighting on the main paths in our facility for safety and for extended use in autumn/winter. This should be insect-friendly and economical.

Description:

We, the KGV Sieker-Schweiz e.V. in Bielefeld, have planned to install insect-friendly LED outdoor lighting with solar and motion detectors.
So far there is only lighting for the lower publicly accessible path within the facility. However, the main path is about 250m long and about 30 lights are still missing. Solar light bollards with base plates are to be installed again.
For insect protection and for economic reasons, we have opted for a solution with solar LEDs and motion detectors. The light source turns on only on motion, is a downward point light source with no scattering. The light temperature is also insect-friendly at 3000 Kelvin.
The acquisition costs are around 1500 euros. The members take care of the construction and assembly themselves.

Reason:

Illuminated paths in the garden are absolutely necessary for the members of the association and the public - especially in spring and autumn. As an attractive, downtown recreational oasis with public traffic, we have to ensure safe routes. Path lighting extends the period of use of the allotment garden and ensures a safe walk through our facility.
Outdoor lights with motion detectors are very useful in the area of security and insect protection. Luminaires that provide more security do not have to be on all night. Outdoor lights with motion detectors switch on when there is movement on the path and switch off again after the time we have selected.
A solar solution is economical and less expensive to install and maintain. There are no high assembly and follow-up costs.
