Lebanon used to be known as the "Switzerland of the Middle East" - because of its economic stability. Today, there are only a few hours of electricity a day and life has become unaffordable even for the middle class. Due to the severe economic crisis since 2019, the explosions in the port of Beirut in 2020 and the large number of refugees, access to medical care is difficult for many. humedica has been active in Lebanon since 2011 and provides free medical treatment for those who cannot afford it.
