Lebanon is a country marked by crisis and conflict. However, it often receives little attention in the public perception, neither for the problems and humanitarian plight of the country, nor for the potentials and efforts on the ground. We, the Berghof Foundation, have been working for peace and dialogue worldwide and in Lebanon for over 50 years. We firmly believe that conflicts bring a lot of potential for change if they are dealt with constructively and non-violently.
In Lebanon, we are working with our local partners to bring together different population groups to develop common visions for the future of their communities and their country. The people of Lebanon are facing a multitude of crises due to social division, economic collapse and inflation. We support them in finding long-term solutions together across borders and using peaceful dialogue as a means to do so.
