    About this project

    ***Update!
We would like to thank everyone who has made it possible for us to reach our first crowdfunding goal of €2000! With this help, we have already achieved great results and laid the foundation for our testing system. We are confident that we will be able to present a functional test for the detection of lithium in patient samples at the competition's closing conference, the Grand Jamboree in Paris in November 2023. (learn more about our project here: https://www.tu-braunschweig.de/igem/2023/projekt).

Since many donations are tied to a specific purpose, we were only able to use them for consumables and laboratory equipment, which is why we unfortunately do not have enough resources to purchase tickets for the final conference in Paris for all team members. These tickets must be bought individually for each member.

We are very grateful for any further donations!

    Hi!

We are a team of biology students from Technical University of Braunschweig and would like to participate in the international synthetic biology competition "iGEM" (international Genetically Engineered Machine).

In the competition teams from universities and also schools from all over the world compete and present their research of the previous year. The aim is to reassemble parts from biological systems to solve modern problems. The possibilities are endless and range from combating the climate crisis to software development and the medical field.

Participation in iGEM is funded by the teams themselves, and we need your help to do that. So why support our team?

We are highly motivated to start our own project and now we have the opportunity to realize one of our promising ideas with iGEM. We learned the basics in our biology studies and now we are allowed to go beyond our previous limits. See what is possible and also make the unimaginable possible. Investing in the future, as some projects have high potential and will be further developed later.

Unfortunately, the road to this point is a long one and the first obstacle is to buy equipment for our laboratory so that we can soon start our experiments. We are very happy about your support, each amount counts!

You are also welcome to have a look at our  Website and our Facebook, Twitter and Instagram channels.
