About this project

Who?
We are a group of ten active parents, who all live in the district of Schwäbisch Hall and all share the same vision of founding an Outdoor School for our region.
In 2021 we founded the club Naturschulgründung e.V. to create the basis for our common goal: a school, which mainly takes place outside in harmony with the nature, such as the forest kindergardens in the district of Schwäbisch Hall already do.
What?
The lessons at the Outdoor School Rosengarten will mainly take place outside. The children will be learning in mixed-aged and integrative groups and we will offer them open classes to support their intrinsic motivations of dealing with the given education plan and whatever else they might are interested in.
An important basis für this kind of learning is provided by a prepared environment according to Maria Montessori, such as the close support of competent learning companions. Further focus at our school are mindfulness, healthcare, sustainability, animal-assisted education and resonance eudcation.
Where?
The Outdoor School Rosengarten will use the ground floor oft he former school building in Rosengarten as their main accomodation and will have several green classrooms in the closer vicinity, which will allow our children the learning in the woods, the field and the meadows.
Where are we right now?
After we rewrote our concept it is currently being reviewed by the regional council in Stuttgart. If the concept is approved, we will do everything to open the Outdoor School in Rosengarten in September 2023. Currently we are using the time for renovation work, public relations and to organize the financing for the first three years.
