    About this project

Kamila Pasko from WoodenValley gGmbH is responsible for this project
    Project objective
The goal of the project is to provide a handout to communities and municipalities. This includes
     - Guidelines for sustainable and community-oriented commercial development
(procedure model, process descriptions, guidelines, list of measures, catalog of requirements)
    - Educational formats
    - Prototypical digital implementation and visualization
    - Prototypical citizen participation in storyporting style

    Guide
The guideline should inspire, give space to innovative ideas and record important principles. Minimum measures are to be named, for example the use of healthy materials or the use of a digital building passport, which must be taken into account in the context of project planning. The procedure model describes how the measures can be demanded, implemented and tracked in the project.

    Educational work
The educational formats relate to all educational stakeholders in the community, from young to old. The first step is to implement a Green Library for the community. In the model community of Straubenhardt, we plan to have this take place in the Haus der Familie. Based on the Green Library, events such as exhibitions, readings, co-creative workshops, seminars or future workshops on the topic of circular economy will be held at regular intervals. These concepts can be reproduced by the municipality afterwards. Future workshops are arranged with local politicians, companies and institutions as well as universities from our partner network.

Human - Environment - System Influences

In the mentioned educational formats, the future workshop in the form of storyporting in citizen participation forms the central effect. The communication method Storyporting is provided by Prof. Dr. Rainer Nübel (University of Applied Sciences Fresenius Heidelberg) and carried out with his help. For this purpose, we work with the respective municipality on the topic of circular economy in the development of commercial areas and create a valid basis for the concept, the guideline and the corresponding implementation.

    Translating research into practical action

In order to raise the public profile of circular construction, the results of this project will be made available as open source and two other municipalities will be invited to follow the path toward sustainable and community-oriented commercial development, thereby providing them with a procedure. We are currently in talks with the municipality of Bad Oldesloe (SH) and the municipality of Angermünde (BR).
