Furnishing & Equipping a Reopened Dormitory.

In the heart of Schwabing, Munich, the Pater Rupert Mayer dormitory for students was founded over 60 years ago. With the goal of providing a communal, affordable and cordial living environment, it has successfully accompanied many generations of students through their studies and provided the rooms they needed. Especially with today's housing costs in Munich, thousands of students are still dependent on dormitory places. The city itself does not sufficiently meet this need - waiting lists for public dormitories often last for two years, sometimes even longer. The number of students in Munich is growing and so is the demand for affordable and social housing.

The "Rupi" dormitory is responding to this trend and has decided to add a floor in order to be able to offer additional rooms. In addition, the existing corridors are to be renovated in line with the times - because broken pipes, old and energy-inefficient kitchens and low sound insulation within the home pose a need for renovation.

In addition, we would like to offer future residents of the new home appealing and versatile home furnishings beyond the "bare necessities". Unfortunately, due to the high renovation costs, the Verein can only provide basic equipment. However, from qualitative kitchen and room furnishings to cozy common rooms or a foosball table, a lovely home feeling can be created in many places additionally.

Therefore, we address you with the heartfelt request to support us in our goal - to provide students with these nice facilities without rent increases. No matter if it is money for a kettle or for a qualitative room equipment - every Euro helps. We and the future students would be very happy if you support us in this mission.
