About this project

Niklas from Sea-Watch e.V. is responsible for this project
We have been rescuing people from drowning in the Mediterranean with our ship Sea-Watch 5 since December 2023. However, it is not Sea-Watch alone; we - civil society - are sending this ship to the deadliest border in the world. We are all of us who, even today, do not simply abandon people on the move to their fate. We are all of us who want to make a difference and who will not give up hope for a Europe based on solidarity.

This rescue ship is a symbol of solidarity and cohesion. For support and assistance. For resistance and continuing.

The Sea-Watch 5 is our response to the European Union’s lack of action. As long as there is no state sea rescue, civilian rescue ships will try to fill this gap. You too can set an example of solidarity and support the operations of the Sea-Watch 5 with your donation.
