Help Karada House renovate and build a new, long-term home!
After working without a permanent space since February 2022, we have finally found a new home. We have found a small former church with a beautiful garden which is centrally located in the middle of Berlin and available long term. The 120-year-old building needs some renovation work. However, the most important thing for us is to make the rooms accessible to all, because we also work with people with chronic pain, neurodivergence, and disabilities.
We are raising funds to completely rebuild the current inaccessible restrooms and make them accessible to every body. We also need a ramp to bridge the 3 entrance steps to the house. We also need 2 doors widened.
Furthermore, we are raising money for our hanging point structure. The house is great, the walls are high but the ceilings are old, built in 1897, so we need to build a complex wooden structure with the help of our wonderful carpenter and a structural engineer. This structure is very important for our work.
