    About this project

Theresa Klose from Athenstaedt-Stiftung is responsible for this project
We support a school project in the Indian Himalayas. The students from the remote mountain villages of the Zanskar region spend the night in a hostel that is to be equipped with a solar thermal system in the near future. Since the school has been supplied with water directly since this summer through a well construction project financed by us, it should be possible to heat it with the help of a solar thermal system. Since the power supply in the mountain region is repeatedly interrupted, this is necessary so that the students also have hot water available.
We keep visiting the school ourselves to see the progress of our work, but we are also in close contact with the Indian SECPAD community, a local non-profit organization that coordinates the solar thermal project (procurement of craftsmen, etc.).
