    About this project

    C. Hoffmann from Stiftung Home for Hope is responsible for this project
The focus of the project in the village of Gomoa Tarkwa in southern Ghana is to provide access to comprehensive education from an early age as a lever for a better professional future. Thanks to the successful opening of the Home for Hope Preparatory School, a total of 275 students, 35 of whom are socially disadvantaged children, can now receive a high-quality, low-cost basic education. The children range in age from 2 to 14 years. The overall goal of the project idea is that children and young people in Gomoa West, many of whom are socially disadvantaged, gain better prospects for their future careers through access to education. Especially in the rural region of Gomoa West, there are hardly any opportunities for families to guarantee their children access to good education; this often fails due to too high costs or too far distances to just such institutions. The planned project is the purchase of a new school bus, which will take children in the surrounding villages to school in the morning and bring them home safely at the end of the day.
