    About this project

Büsra Filiz from ÖFG Ludwigshafen KTS Wattstraße is responsible for this project
The KTS Wattstraße is a children daycare center (Kindergarten) for 75 children aged 2 - 6 years, which opened in October 2019. Our goal is to let all children with all their social and cultural starting points share experience and understand their living environment in a self-determined way.

Our 75 children come from 17 different countries and cultures, many of them from refugee families, since a refugee center is part of our inbound area.

It is essential for those children and their integration to experience our culture, our language and the togetherness, not only in the daily kindergarten routine but also in projects.

Therefore, we would like to participate in the "Acker Racker" program. However, this requires a co-payment for the children, which we cannot bear ourselves and therefore, we need YOUR HELP.

Information about the Acker Racker program:

Promoting closeness to nature and nutritional skills with the AckerRacker.

Nature and food belong together. We think, this is important knowledge - even for the youngest. With AckerRacker, children learn through play where the food on our plates comes from. And during this process, they can feel the wind in their hair, the earth between their fingers and the rain on their skin.

Working the land together is a real adventure. And by the end of the summer, not only will delicious vegetables be growing in the nursery's own field, but also a lot of fun, team spirit and a sense of responsibility.

The program is designed for one year and is scheduled to start in early 2023 with the beginning of spring. The donation will be used for the program's co-pay and necessary tools.
