Anjali Mallick and Bishnupriya Pradhan came to the orphanage "Vorosa Ashram" at the age of 4. Vorosa Ashram is located in one of the poorest Indian states, Odisha (formerly Orissa). There, the two girls not only found a loving home, but were also given the opportunity to receive a good school education. Both girls have taken full advantage of this. Meanwhile, Anjali and Bishnupriya are 21 and due to their great school performance, they have the chance to become nurses. This is a rarity in India, if you have the status of an orphan. Our association act!orissa heard the news a few days ago and we’re extremely happy and very proud of what they’ve achieved. However, to become nurses the girls have to complete a training course, which costs a lot of money that the orphanage does not have. The training takes two years and with accommodation costs, 1200 € per year per girl are needed. Anjali and Bishnupriya want to become role models for other orphans. Immediately after their education, they will work in nearby hospitals and continue to support the orphanage with their attractive salaries.
The annual payment for the first year of education would be due very soon on 10th August. Nevertheless, we hope to be able to make the training possible for at least one girl already this year. Every cent you donate will bring Anjali and Bishnupriya a little closer to their dream.
