About this project

At the end of June, we carried out our first relief operation inside Ukraine, where we were able to deliver medical supplies, medical equipment, stationery, dog food and clothing directly inside Ukraine to our partner university and school in Irpin, near Kiev. We were also able to provide relief supplies to private individuals in Butscha who had no means of escape.
This relief trip was financially supported by the City of Munich.
Now we are starting our second relief trip to Ukraine, where we will deliver so far an X-ray machine for a hospital in Kharkiv, a vein meter, 750kg of school materials, as well as winter clothes. These goods were provided to us by various parties and are stored ready for departure with us in Munich.
Due to the good local network that we were able to build up on the first trip to Ukraine, we received various other requests for medical goods and other relief supplies. These requests include costs in the 6-digit range, which we are not able to cover with our own financial means.
The first request is for medical supplies for a hospital in Kharkiv, which is experiencing an extreme shortage due to the acute emergency. We have received a complete list of the needed goods, which we want to deliver as soon as possible.
At our partner school in Irpin (School No. 12), which asked us for help out of necessity, it is a matter of repair work and which we now want to support in the long term. The first measure will be the new construction of the entrance sign at the main building, so that the children do not have to be reminded of the attack on their school every day. Furthermore, technical equipment is needed to be able to resume teaching to the full extent.
We also want to help again the old people from Butcha, whom we could help successfully on our last trip. We will supply them again with food, articles of daily use, hygienic articles and medical goods.
Our departure is planned for 8/24-22, however, the financial resources are not yet nearly enough to serve the requests from Ukraine.
The one-week trip will start in Munich to hand over a part of the relief supplies to our partner school in Irpin. Afterwards it will go to the old people in Butcha. From there we will continue to Kiev, where a further transport of the X-ray equipment and medicines to Kharkiv has been organized. As on the first trip, we are supported by an employee of the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The trip will be carried out by our two founders, Marcel Demeler and Max Krug.
