About this project

After 2,5 years of not meeting, the global social & technical innovation scene needs to meet again to enhance collaboration and present their work to share gained knowledge and gain visibility that often translates into better ability to raise new funds.

As GIG members we travel a lot to venues and events around the globe – often by air. Many of our members have limited to no resources to pay for flight tickets and reach to far-away destinations to present their work to international audiences. This is to support their airfare.

As air travellers we contribute to carbon emission and would like to be able to compensate our carbon footprints by supporting atmosfair.de.

Along those same lines we recommend www.Ecosia.org – a web search engine based in Berlin, Germany, which donates 80% of its surplus income to non-profit organizations that focus on reforestation and conservationism.
