Damit Einsatzkräfte an Einsatzstellen auch über weitere Wege untereinander oder mit der Einsatzleitung sowie der Leitstelle kommunizieren können, benötigt jede Einsatzkraft ein Funkgerät. Im Zuge der Modernisierung wird vom bisherigen Analogfunk auf den sog. Digitalfunk umgerüstet. Daher benötigen wir mehrere digitale Funkgeräte für die Einsatzkräfte und unsere Einsatzfahrzeuge.
