Dear Supporter,

2024 was a year of growth at Source - Network for Humanitarian Action e.V.

We welcomed new team members and finished projects in our computer center in Kakuma refugee camp in the North West of Kenya.

Building a new classroom and upgrading the solar energy supply were the highlights of our year. Thanks to your generous donations and monthly contributions we further improved the learning opportunities for the more than 200 students who access our computer center on a daily basis. We are proud to do this together with our local partner, the refugee-led organization Solidarity Initiative for Refugees (SIR)

With Giving Tuesday coming up on December 3, we ask you to help us continue this work.

Our current project is to enhance access to water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) at the computer center:

"Every day, I watch our center's potential held back by something as basic yet vital as water. It breaks my heart to see young girls, full of dreams and determination, leave halfway through the day because they can't perform their prayers without water. For many, this center is their only chance to learn, grow, and feel safe. Yet the lack of water turns it into another obstacle in their already challenging lives."
Bahana Mirindi Hydrogene, Executive Director of SIR

Giving Tuesday is a day on which people and organizations from all over the world come together to support important causes and underpriviledged communities. The campaign began in the US in 2012 as a way of giving back after the well-known shopping days of Black Friday and Cyber Monday.

Our supporters are the roots on which we grow. The more we have and the deeper they go, the more impact we can create. Whatever amount you can spare to help us make WASH a reality is greatly appreciated!

But don't worry if a donation is not possible for you at the moment. You can still support us by spreading the word. We have prepared a handy guide on our website with ideas for how to let your friends, family or colleagues know about WASH and motivate them to make a donation. You can check it out here: Link

Together we can make generosity go viral. From everyone here at SOURCE we would like to personally thank you for continuing your support. Feel free to contact me at any time if you have any questions or need more information.

Thank you for growing with us,
Leon
