After Russia started the full-scale invasion in Ukraine, the world was shocked by the brutality of invaders and the braveness of Ukrainians protecting their country. The price of this heroism is very high, as Ukrainian sky was left without protection from intense non-selective shelling and airstrikes. Thousands of civilians and hundreds of children have already died. Hospital personnel and volunteers are working 24/7 to save people’s lives, and they are counting on international support.
We want to collect funds for blood-stopping equipment and first aid kits to give the rising wounded population hope to survive in the critical first hours. Tourniquets and Rescuer trauma kits can effectively stop blood loss and prevent limbs from amputation. Medical Backpacks can provide volunteers and medical personnel with all the necessary first-aid equipment to save the lives of hundreds of civilians in the hot spots. Despite the significant support from European countries, the paramedics and volunteers are still in great need of these first help remedies all over Ukraine.
We aim to reach the campaign's goal in the shortest timeframe, as every day and every hour counts, to support the volunteer organisations operating in Ukraine. We aim to purchase the high quality first aid kits, fully equipped medical backpacks and tourniquets that can allow our volunteers and medics to save lives of over 5000 civilians. After, we’ll reach the goal of the campaign, we will deliver kits through our volunteer network in Europe to the hot spot locations in Ukraine that are experiencing shortages of lifesaver items mentioned above.
The timeline of this humanitarian campaign depends on the donors’ engagement. We’ve developed a logistic network that is already actively sending direct help to Ukraine and is able to reach out the people in need, located all around Ukraine.
The campaign is run by the Ukraine-Hilfe Berlin e.V. in collaboration with the Allianz Ukrainischer Organisationen in Germany to support the volunteer network in Ukraine:
