Support for journalists in Ukraine

A project from n-ost – border crossing journalism
in Kyiv, Ukraine

In Ukraine, journalists are in great danger. We need your support to buy vitally needed protective and emergency equipment, provide psychological help and support journalists in the field and in exile with their most difficult work.

About this project

We are a European network of journalists and in close contact with our colleagues on the ground in Ukraine. This fundraiser is also supported by our partners Croatian Journalists' Association, FragDenStaat, Netzwerk Recherche, Reporters without Borders and taz Panter Stiftung.

Our Ukrainian colleagues are now in urgent need of:

Protective and emergency equipment: bulletproof vest and ballistic protection plates (IV by NIJ standard), helmets, ballistic glasses, first aid kits

Journalism Support (on the ground and in exile): Costs for maintaining reporting and research, travelling, accommodation, office space, psychological counselling

With your money, we primarily support independent Ukrainian journalists on the ground or in exile, but also journalists who have been working in Ukraine for some time and are still there or have just had to leave the country.

The journalists still on the ground are in great danger, both as civilians and as the ones who are expected to keep the world up to date as it is watching. Journalists in exile who had to leave the country also face very serious challenges.

Thank you for your support!
