Feed for our "Big Gentle Giants" - 18 cattle € 4,050.00 (3 months)

Maybe some of you can still remember our calf rescue in spring 2020?
Many generous people have supported us in the past, for which we are still very, very grateful. In the meantime, the sweet and small calves have become large and stately cattle. Like our other cattle, they live with contract farmers in the Upper Sauerland and in the Eifel. The accommodation of our animals is a dream and in summer they enjoy a large pasture with 20,000 square meters and a "scratching post" that they like to frequent. So you can enjoy your freedom to the fullest.
If it weren't for the costs: up to now we have paid €2.50 - €45.00 per cow per day (€1,350.00 per month) for permanent accommodation (doctor, feed, water, etc.).
Due to the worldwide increase in grain prices, our contract farmers could no longer keep the agreed €2.50 and were forced to set the monthly costs from €2.50 per cattle to €5.00 and that for 18 cattle. These are additional monthly costs of €1,350.00 (€16,200.00 per year - for at least another 15 to 20 years). A shock for all of us! What to do?
We understand our farmers and can understand the increase, because the costs for our feed, here on the farm, have doubled. We try to absorb part of these costs with animal sponsorships, unfortunately it is only a drop in the ocean. The valuable donations are not enough.
We are in a desperate situation, but giving up is not an option for us. We hope for financial help from many generous people so that we can continue to give our "Big Gentle Giants" everything they urgently need.
We would never give up one of our animals.
