Light for Kids - Solar Energie for Schools and Mountain Villages

During an expedition in 2018 we arrived in a small mountain village at 5000m above sea level. The villagers proudly invited us to visit their school, which we discovered had neither electricity nor light!  We asked ourselves, how can the children - many of whom have to work on the fields during the daytime -  learn in the evenings in the dark?

We wanted to help, and "Light for Kids" was born.

Our goal is to help children in the poorest regions of the world to gain access to a better education, then this is recognised as the fundament for a better life. We have chosen robust and simple solar technology so that we can involve the villages in the installation, care and maintenance of the equipment.
