About this project

Lucy is not even three months old.
Her life, so young, should be full of sunshine. But Lucy is sick, very sick.

Without surgery, she will suffer massively. Her life will be completely turned upside down. Already in a few weeks, in a few days.
A merciless fight against time.

Her suffering would take over Lucy's life. Even before her life has really begun. Even before she could squeal with laughter. Even before she could curiously discover the world. What an unimaginable pain for mom and dad, her big sister, for all the people who love this little creature so much. Who wish Lucy to become a happy toddler, toddling around, learning to walk, making friends. Laughs. Lives.

Lucy has heart defects. Despite three prenatal exams, they were not diagnosed before birth. Due to a subsequent suspected miscarriage, which is being clarified, Lucy will likely lose the pumping ability of her left ventricle in the near future. A life of massive limitations would follow. A ticking time bomb. There is a surgical method that can prevent this. One that saves her quality of life.

The health insurance company covers about half of the costs. That leaves around 53,000 euros that mom and dad have to pay themselves. An appeal to the health insurance company would simply take too long. Lucy's left ventricle would probably be lost by then.

Please help us to help! Please donate! Every euro, every cent counts. For Lucy!

There is no time. Frighteningly little. So little that it takes our breath away. Let us be strong together for Lucy! For her family. Let's show them that they are not alone in this whole catastrophe. That we stand together. For the little mouse, this golden treasure. For Lucy, who should live, happy, curious. Lightheartedly laughing.
